Hello classmates!
So week 8 proves to be an insightful week for me!
In this class I have learned so many new mindfulness techniques. I have flourished in my development of a kind loving heart and basic overall understanding that "life does not revolve around me" lol. I have actually taken feelings of anger and bitterness towards certain individuals and turned them into feelings of warmth and love. I thought when I first started this class I was mindfully fit only to find I had some growing to do! I am learning everyday of my life how all the practices in this class come together as one.
In week 8 I especially loved the exercise we implemented. In the part of the exercise where it talked about visualizing yourself when you were the most vital and healthy aided in my own vitality today. I remember dancing in my younger years and how free and healthy I felt at the time. It has been years since I have felt that connection with something in my life that brought such joy. I think the meditation practices have been the most beneficial for me at this point of my development in this class. I could not even even keep quiet for 5 minutes when I first started and now I am up to 12 minutes which is truly a miracle for me.
Shawna

Hi Shawna - it is me, Nancy again. It sounds like you have made great progress on your meditation practices. 12 minutes is very good I think. I can manage ten or so on a good day. We have to keep at it and some day we will be able to do an hour. Imagine how our mind will be then! Keep up the good efforts!
